Social proof, a term coined by Robert Cialdini in his 1984 book, Influence, is also known as informational social influence. It describes a psychological and social phenomenon wherein people copy the actions of others in an attempt to undertake behavior in a given situation. Wikipedia

Explained simpler and more eloquently by Dr. Cialdini himself, “We can see that social proof is most powerful for those who feel unfamiliar or unsure in a specific situation and who, consequently, must look outside of themselves for evidence of how best to behave there.”

Copy and paste the JS Code Snippet found in the dashboard before the end of the </head> of any website that you want to display notifications from us.

The process will be slightly different for each CMS (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.).

For WordPress, install the Head & Footer Code plugin. Then add the JS code found in the SaveProof dashboard to the Head section. See this video for help.

For Squarespace, follow these instructions.

For Wix, follow these instructions.

Webhook is for advanced users and it is used to catch data from another website. For example, when someone purchases something from a WooCommerce store, you can setup WooCommerce to send webhook request and SaveProof will capture the post data.

Auto capturing data is for capturing data from static form pages. For example, a registration page.

There is also an option to import data manually if you have existing sales or want to use fake data.

Captured data can be displayed on the notification widget. For example:

Captured field: full_name
Conversion Title: {full_name}

Signed up for the newsletter

To import data, click the “data” tab. If you want a notification to say “John signed up for the newsletter” then input the following:

key = name
value = John

Conversion Title = {name} signed up for the newsletter

Website will display “John signed up for the newsletter”

Easy. In the dashboard, click the dropdown menu in the top right corner. Then, click “package”. Then click “cancel subscription”.
